Hi, I’m Lori and Blissful Boulders is an intergenerational family farm located in Clintwood, VA. In 2024, three related families moved to Clintwood with a dream. The driving force behind the dream was my middle son, Zac and his wife Danielle. After a little research and a drive up to Virginia to look at some potential properties, they fell in love with Clintwood for its small town feel and very friendly folks. The process moved fairly quickly after that and after meeting all the challenges of selling properties in another state, we moved up in mid- November. The snows soon began to fly and the holiday season was upon us.
It took us a while to really settle in and get set up but it’s finally starting to happen and we are excitedly looking forward to what will happen in 2026. Blissful Boulders is the umbrella we use to encompass our various passions. Danielle and Zac are passionate about farming and are excited to start with their chickens this spring and hoping to be planting their first blueberry bushes by fall. Danielle loves to bake and started her own small farm stand in the summer of 2025 selling baked goods. Zac and Danielle will post most of the content under the Blissful Boulders heading as that is their dream baby and as the major stakeholders for the property.
My husband Mike and I are passionate about anything to do with resolving issues surrounding his paralysis journey. We are also branching out with farming in other ways. We will have berries, and vegetables to sell at local farmers’ markets. We are starting our own worm farm as well this spring and I have been pursuing my love of crafting which my mother instilled in her three daughters during our childhoods.
You can follow along on our pages: Blissberry Acres, Grumpy’s Blog space, and HeavenScents. Blissberry Acres is dedicated towards all things farm related as Mike and I learn and grow in the farming industry. Grumpy’s Blog Space is geared towards our trial and tribulations revolving around his paralysis. HeavenScents will be built around my love of crafting as I continue to learn and shape that passion.
